Happy Mother's Day to a wonderful woman who has become my best friend. Sunday, May 11th we are celebrating and honoring our mothers, whether its spending the day with mom, sending a card, calling her or just having lovely thoughts of a lost mother, today is the day to cherish all the memories we have shared with our moms. Lovemore Lavender has brought my mom and I closer together, we enjoy working on the handmade products together and selling at local festivals and craft fairs. Last Saturday was the 7th Calvert Wine & Arts Festival at All Saint's Parish where local wineries, artisans and other vendors came to display their talents. Will and Veronica's Produce as well as Lovemore Lavender was there to celebrate the festival. It was a pleasure meeting many of the local vendors and terrific shoppers. 

         Wine lovers enjoyed sampling wines from all over Maryland, many also tried the delicious food, live entertainment, raffles and even the children got to chime in the crafts and face painting. The weather was nice, even the light rain didn't deter shoppers from enjoying all the activities. 
          We want to give a big thank you to everyone who came out and supported the local artisans and farmers, we hope you enjoy your produce and products from Will and Veronica's Produce and Lovemore Lavender. We look forward to seeing you next year! 

     This past Saturday was the 9th Annual Calvert Marine Museum's Maritime Festival in Solomons. As music played, people from all over Calvert County were showcasing their crafts, talents and homemade goods.  The free event held cooking demonstrations, boat rides and southern Maryland food, there was surely something for everyone to enjoy. Attendees were also entertained by learning how to pick Maryland's famous blue crabs and shuck oysters while viewing antique boats on the bay.    
    The Grand reopening of the Marine Museum exhibits a the new Harms Gallery, which has a complete state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment that is perfect for events for both the museum and outside groups. This $2 million renovation also showcases a new and improved museum store, where you can find many made in America jewelry, clothing and home decor. 
      This was Lovemore Lavender's debut on selling our hand-crafted goods to the public, Maria did an excellent job and many took home quality products. We look forward to having many more events where we can share our love of lavender and we hope to meet you there!

We favor the University of Maryland because Veronica's husband went there and our lavender farm is in southern Maryland. We found out today that the University of Maryland Medical Center has an article on the medical uses, doses and precautions of lavender in their complementary and alternative medicine guide.

Working on making thick and creamy body butter with essential oils, the rich texture gives you immense moisture for you skin. We hand make our products using the best ingredients, we take our time providing you with a superior product. Here is a picture of Veronica mixing the ingredients together, what a arm workout with all that mixing! 

Next is filling the jars with the body butter and then weighing them for accuracy. These hand made labels were cut to the perfect size of the jars, we spent hours peeling and sticking. We had a lot of fun making these and hop you enjoy them!
